Christian Democratic Leaders’ Roundtable Luncheon – “What it means to be a Christian and a politician in secular Europe”
On 21 October 2025, our Foundation organised a Roundtable Discussion of Christian Leaders in Bratislava, chaired by Eduard Heger, former Prime Minister of Slovakia.

We were particularly honoured to bring together members of parliament from various Slovak Christian political parties, creating a unique opportunity for dialogue.
The discussion, centred around the theme “What it means to be a Christian and a Politician in Secular Europe”, led to a rich and thought-provoking exchange. All participants contributed valuable insights and engaged in meaningful debate, following a deeply thoughtful keynote address delivered by Prof. Dr. Christiaan Alting von Geusau, President of the International Catholic Legislators Network.

Among the key topics addressed were: love and respect for others; the importance of safeguarding human dignity; the active pursuit of genuine human encounters; the continuous cultivation of a conscious and reflective mindset; and the building of trust-based political friendships — all recognised as essential tasks for a Christian politician.
